'give respect to earn respect' The most selfish phrase I've ever heard; yet i hear it all the time here in Reno. I may not receive respect from anyone & they could hate me & do or say whatever they please. But at least I can stand tall and walk away; knowing that all along, I never was the reason why they felt less than what their worth, or whatever negative feeling they felt; I can know that it wasn't because of me. And that feeling, that feeling is more fulfilling than anything else I know.
..
what about the concept of doing something, not because you're going to get rewarded for it in any way, but doing something simply just because it's the right thing to do?
